Event details:

Come learn how to capture, combine, and process multiple exposures for accurate or artistic interpretations of everyday scenes. The day will start with a half-hour of instruction in the studio lobby before we leave for the shooting locations where you will learn the advanced techniques needed to produce high-quality HDR images.

The second half of the day will be a 4 hour workshop on Tone Mapping and processing your HDR images inside both Photoshop and Photomatix, using the images we captured on our walk.

During the instructional location shoot you will learn:

-When/what to shoot in HDR

-Manual and Auto bracketing techniques

-Tips for high-quality results

-Exposure strategies

1-2 pm lunch is provided

During the processing workshop you will learn:

-How to process multiple exposures to create an HDR image

-What all the sliders mean, and how to best use them

-Creative vs. Realistic

-Eliminating halos (bright rings that appear in areas of abrupt transition between light and dark tones)

-Combining two HDR images to achieve creative effects
